Please God, can you just give us a break?
I know I shouldn't complain because there are so many people dealing with much bigger issues, but our little family could really use a break. We've been sick for more than a month now and we really would love to have a break from the coughing, congestion, fevers and other illnesses that have invaded our house. And our little one could use a break from the teething for a night or two. He needs to sleep and even giving him pain killers has barely made a dent. Five big teeth at once is a bit much for our little 15 month old to take, especially when dealing with a cough too. And really Mommy and Daddy would be healing better if we could catch a good night's sleep too! We don't really like the hours of 10:30-2:30...we'd prefer to be sleeping.
And as long as I'm whining we could really use a buyer to come along quick so that things could get wrapped up and we could just focus on settling into our house. And really if you wanted to send an angel to unpack and organize and decorate our house that would be great! And fix all the things that need to be dealt with in the house. And make the snow and cloudy days stop so we can get on with spring! And, And, And...
But just so you don't think I'm a totally self indulgent complainer we want you to know that we love our new church! And are so grateful for the awesome library system! And meeting the local butcher who raises the pig we'll be ordering this week and also goes to our awesome church! And for all the friendly people who've done so much to make us feel welcome! Really we are grateful and very optimistic that this will be everything we had hoped for in a new home in the country.
We just kind of need a break from the sickness and the dreariness and the snow....we can't wait to for SPRING!
Thanks God,
Heather

Home Turtle Home
We've closed (on Feb 1st) and we've moved (on Feb 5th) and we are so overwhelmed! Things went fine at closing and we moved a load of things that day. Then I went back another day and painted two rooms and took a van load of stuff again. And then we took down our smaller chest freezer and a ton of frozen food the day before the movers came. We have a HUGE chest freezer as well and were worried about trying to move all the frozen food in both freezers at the same time. This made it a lot easier.
The 5th was a crazy day. The movers took longer than expected to load the van and we had tired, cranky, cold kids by the time we could hit the road to the new house. And about an hour before they finished loading the snow fell and fell and fell. So we were trying to get to the house before them (they were going to stop for lunch) with enough time to clear the driveway for them. Turns out it would have been good to move the snow blower before moving day! But we shoveled like crazy while the kids watched a movie in the new house and we got a good chunk done before they got there. And they didn't even stop for lunch!
Mike and I had done a lot of the running at the old house, bringing boxes and totes and such to the main level in order to save time since we were paying by the 15 minutes. And at the new house we had them just drop everything in the garage (the benefit of having 2 two car garages attached) and only take in the heavy furniture. Even so it was a long 10 1/2 hour day with the movers and we were so relieved to have them gone!
The day after we moved my parents arrived and spent the next four days helping us. We moved a million boxes (give or take) into the house and unpacked a bunch of them. We worked like maniacs up in Milwaukee at the old house. We painted, cleaned, moved more loads of stuff and fixed things up. Their help was amazing and got us so much further ahead and yet I know they feel like they didn't get much done. Sometimes I think they are superhuman!
Of course the day after they left I got sick. I don't get sick often, but when I do it is big. Really big. And although a day of rest, rest and rest seemed to have me back on the right path towards being better last night I woke up feeling like it is starting over. And the kids all have it too,so the little one has had some rough nights. Fun! It is a cold with sinus issues, cough, etc and we just are all praying for recovery and for Daddy to stay healthy.
We need one more big work day in Milwaukee and wanted it to be tomorrow, but now we are thinking it will have to wait. The house needs to get on the market, but our health is more important and we can't get much done when we are all sick. We keep sending prayers up that the right buyer will find the house once it is on the market. Someone who will be reasonable to deal with, will appreciate the house and will love the neighbors like we have!
So for now, signing off from Turtle!

Let's Get Popping!
I heard that today is National Popcorn Day and just had to put it out there so I remember in future years! We love popcorn at this house and for dinner tonight we'll be doing popcorn and smoothies with a movie to celebrate...the kids can't wait! We will even have a very special (and not very good for us) treat of dessert popcorn. For Christmas we were gifted the Chocolate Lover's collection of Boy Scout popcorn and there is a bag of white chocolate popcorn and one of chocolate popcorn. They'll be enjoyed by our little family tonight!
We've enjoyed popcorn a lot more around here since I found a source for bulk popcorn that is raised without a lot of chemicals and such. We bought 100 pounds (half yellow, half white) and are enjoying a lot more cornbread (grinding it in the nutrimill) and movie nights with popcorn and smoothies. We've even gifted a large container of it to my dad who is the ultimate popcorn lover! I've even been collecting recipes for different spice combinations and ways of making it to enjoy some variety. I love having a whole grain snack that my kids love and is so reasonable in cost.
Happy Popping!

Freedom!
Our little family will soon escape the city for the freedom of the country! We've wanted to find a home with more space and to get into a more rural setting for a while and yet, it seems like it happened so fast. A couple of years ago Mike and I made a list of steps to get where we wanted to be and set a timeline for when we wanted to have it happen. So far, so good! And really, way quicker than the timeline so far...here's hoping that continues. We still need to close and move, clean up our current home and get it on the market and then sell it! Once it sells we'll dump all of the proceeds into our current home and pay it off as quickly as possible. After we are debt free we'll be saving up for a big dream vacation for our entire family...we're going to Disney! Mike can't wait to take us and the kids are very excited as well. Of course we won't go until we hit our goals and everyone is potty trained :)
Our new home is more than double the square footage of our current home and yet it only has three bedrooms. It has an office for Mike in the basement, far away from the craziness of our 4, 2 and 1 year olds. We'll have an acre and half with some young fruit trees, mulberry trees, some hazelnut trees, a raspberry patch, wild asparagus, and two garden areas. We plan to expand the gardens in a big way, add more fruit trees, get chickens and maybe even ask around about the acre lot next to our home. It is the only other area that could even possibly be developed and we may try and buy it to ensure we have the space to do what we want in the future. The home is on a dead end road with only a few other houses, but it is very easy to access the interstate which makes things much easier for Mike as he travels. We have met one neighbor and they have a HUGE garden, bees, chickens and I'm really hoping they will help me learn a lot about all of those things!
I'll post pictures once the home is officially ours, which happens on Feb 1st. We'll be moving in on Feb 5th and appreciate any and all prayers during those first two weeks of Feb. We know they'll be crazy as we try and get things done and get our home ready to go on the market. It is going to be especially challenging because of the travel time between the two homes, as well as juggling the kids and projects. But we know that once we have the house on the market and get unpacked and settled it will be worth it. I'm so grateful that my kids will get to grow up as country kids!

Yes, still going...Part 4
I spent the next hour getting stitched up and then x-rayed. They had not had time to count the
instruments and had to make sure nothing was left inside of me. As they finished up the surgery they also
came around and attached my patient bracelet.
Things had gone so fast that from Dr. Wasserman’s check to your actual
birth was only 32 minutes! I was taken
over to recovery and spent almost 3 hours there, some of the time with
Debby. She and Kim were able to talk me
through some of what happened and checked on you for me. Daddy and Nancy came down to give me an
update and let me know that you were doing great. You had an IV, lots of monitors and were
getting a little oxygen to help. Quickly
you were off the oxygen and just had room air being blown to help you breathe
deep enough. Daddy had some pictures and
videos which I loved seeing as well. I
finally found out you were 9 lbs, 4 ounces and 21.5 inches long. You were also B-, which meant no Rhogam for
me and other than a rough start things were looking really good. The worst news I got in recovery was that you
were under a nothing by mouth order for the night. I was furious that I wouldn’t get to nurse
you even after I left recovery. They
wanted you to just be relaxed and stable before we tried anything, which is why
you had an IV. Kim and Debby and Nancy
all explained it, but it didn’t make it any easier to hear.
After I was ready to move Kim and Lindsey took me to my
room, but not without a stop in your NICU room!
You were actually the first baby to use the room as they had just opened
their new NICU on Monday. They had to do
a lot of finagling to get my bed in your room with your isolet, but they did
it. I reached in to touch you and just
started crying. I mumbled something
about not having even held you yet and Laura, your nurse said that we should
change that. A whole lot more
maneuvering and they were able to get you out and into my arms, even with both
of our crazy IVs, monitors, pain med dispensers and everything. Daddy and I had our first pictures together
with you and I was pretty much ready to stay there all night. You were very quiet and relaxed which was
good to see after such a stressful event just a few hours earlier. After a time that seemed just too short I
headed down to my room to pump and rest and you and Daddy spent the night together
in your room.
Around 7am I called up to your room and was told that you
were doing great. You and Daddy were
doing skin to skin and you had spent a bunch of time sucking on his
fingers. You were hungry and I was ready
to feed you! We were told a Dr. would be
seeing you after 8 and we should be nursing sometime that morning. Since you were such a healthy boy you were
kind of pushed to the back burner and I had to throw a fit to get a Dr. in to
see you. When I was holding you you were
bobbing and rooting and screaming at me to eat.
One of the hardest things I’ve done (and something I really kind of
regret) was following the order to not feed you when you wanted it and I wanted
to give it to you. It was around noon
when they pulled the cannulas out of your nose and then we had to wait to see
how you would do with no help. It was
about 5:30 before we finally had the go ahead to nurse. You were a total champ and latched on right
away. You wouldn’t make eye contact with
me and I have no doubt that you did not understand why I had not cared for you
earlier.
We nursed all night long, every 4 hours or so. Each time you’d feed for at least a half hour
and everything looked good. We met with
the lactation consultant, Deanne and she had some great tips as well as noticed
that you were tongue tied. Your IV was
off (we knocked it out during one of the feedings) and you were passing your
blood sugar checks with flying colors.
You had your first bath that night and while we had planned to be there
it was done while we got a quick hour and a half nap. You also got moved to a regular crib and
Kathy (one of your night nurses on Friday) was all on board with us to get you
looking as normal and healthy as possible so they would release you to my
room. Dr. Bob was the neonatologist on
that night and he was a character. As
morning came he let me know that he had planned to release you before he left
at 8 am, but you had just a few times when your oxygen level dropped to 90 and
they wanted you to be monitored a little longer. Our next nurse told us that most babies are
expected to stay at 90 or above, but for some reason they had you set to stay
above 92. I guess they just wanted you
to be an overachiever from the very beginning!
The best news later Saturday morning was that you were continuing to do
great and hadn’t had any more issues with your oxygen levels. Just before noon we were told that you could
come to my room as soon as the paperwork and such was done! And right as we were told that Dr. Wasserman
came up to the NICU and told me that he thought I was doing fine and he wanted
to release me that night as well. That
way if you were ready we could maybe be home still Saturday night, but if they
wanted you to stay in the hospital overnight then I could stay as a guest in
your room, which was really my room on the Mom/Baby floor. I was one grateful Mommy to have such good
news from two doctors at the same time!
Daddy and I went down to have lunch while we waited for you
to be ready to transfer. It turned out
that they were swamped and it took a few hours longer then expected, as did
everything it seemed. During the wait
Grandma Schneider came to the hospital and got to hold you for the first time
upstairs in your NICU room. You and I
kept up our nursing schedule and kept working on getting your latch to
improve. We were really excited when we
finally got to ride down the elevator with you and settle into our room.
Because Dr. Zukowski couldn’t come to St. Mary’s, Dr.
Claudia Koch (whose office ordered the ultrasound for us) was going to be your
fill in pediatrician. Of course, she was
not on that weekend, so the doctor covering for her told the neonatologists
that they should discharge you when they felt you were ready using their
instructions. And Dr. Mario was not
going to discharge you when he had just released you from the NICU. We decided that Daddy would go home to see
Garrett and Kelby and let Grandma Fuerniss take the van to come and meet her
newest grandson. I ordered our
celebration dinner and Grandma helped me eat it when she got there. We didn’t want to celebrate until you were in
my room and then Daddy was already home!
Grandma and I talked for a long time about everything and then she
headed home as well. You had a busy night as you had to pass a car seat test,
have your hearing test and we were up nursing a lot as well. I was one tired Mommy come morning, but was
so glad when Dr. Bob came into our room and told me that you were ready to go
whenever I wanted to head home. I called
Daddy (who was getting ready to come over already) and we all rejoiced that you
were going home! Even with your
challenging beginning we were still in the hospital less time than Garrett and
I were!
You were home around 12:30 on Sunday and met Garrett and
Kelby who were still eating lunch. Kelby
took a nap and you and Daddy and Garrett all watched the Packer game while I
napped on the couch. It was great to be
home and to have you be safe and sound in our arms! Your entire story is not what we would have
ever expected, but we are so grateful that things worked out well for you Evan
Otto Schneider. We are so happy to have
you in our family!

Part 3
As we got the labor and delivery floor we meet Kim our
nurse. She knew we had a transverse baby
and that Dr. Wasserman was either on his way or was in the hospital for
us. We got into our triage room right
around 10 and she monitored you to make sure things were good. We were going through the registration
questions and just chatting until the chief OB
resident came in to do an ultrasound. As
she did we discovered that you were back to a single footling breech
position. You foot was down, you bottom
was jamming down into my pelvis and your head was bent down to your
bottom. Your spine laid on my right side
and you were as squished down into yourself as you could possibly be. The ultrasound hurt as she jammed it low to
get a good reading on your foot, but I just figured it was because she was
working hard to see things. Turns out
that was an indicator that things were moving along. Dr. Wasserman came in to meet us and discuss
our options. His opinion was that we
could do the version right there and then if it worked we could induce with a
Foley or we could go home to try for a birth center birth. Or we could try and wait until tomorrow and
do the version then in a better environment.
Or we could just do a c-section right then or wait and do one in the
morning (when Debby thought he’d be more optimal). The version had risks that he explained,
things like uterine rupture or placental abruption and if those happened we’d
be going right into surgery. I made it
clear that I’d like to try for the version and try for a vaginal delivery if at
all possible, but they gave us a minute for Daddy and I to talk about it with
Debby and Coral while they stepped out.
I headed to the bathroom and had another strong contraction
with pressure in my bottom. Debby wanted
me to get on the bed because she thought it would go away, but it was one that
bothered me more than most had been. As
we talked it became obvious we needed to find out if I was moving into labor
because if I was all options were off the table and we would be having
surgery. When Dr. Wasserman came in we
told him to check me so that we’d know what options we had available to
us. They got me a sheet and he checked
me. I’ll never forget his mouth falling
open as he said “She’s 9+ and I’ve got a foot.”
He turned to run and then turned back and told us that things were going
to get crazy and move fast. I just told
them to go faster as I knew my body would be pushing in no time and I couldn’t
do that to you without really hurting you.
I had a contraction right away and Debby climbed up on the bed and
talked in my ear to get me to blow it off. Coral was at my feet telling me to
“hehehehe” and Daddy came over to my side.
Kim announced “Everything off” and Coral grabbed my socks off in one
motion, I took off my shirt and Debby took off my bra. Your Daddy tried to lighten the mood by
announcing that he was pretty fast at getting my bra off and we all just gave
him a look and a “Michael!” as I was shocked that he’d think of something like
that at the time!
The OB resident was yelling
questions at me about previous pregnancies and Kim was asking about allergies
and I just wanted to get moving faster. I had to sign a consent form in the middle of
a contraction and they yelled at me to just make an ‘x.’ I did sign my first name, but I doubt anyone
could read it and they grabbed it before I could even try and sign my last
name. I know that as we rolled to the
surgery suite the anesthesiologist’s assistant came and asked me about
allergies and such as well. I asked her
a question that I don’t remember and she just looked me in the eye and said
“All we are worried about right now is your safety and your baby’s
safety.” I remember having only two
thoughts about everything happening, that I could NOT PUSH because I was afraid
it would kill you and that I wanted them to GO FASTER because I still wanted to
be awake so that Daddy and I could be there for your birth. I knew there was a big possibility that I’d
be put under and if that happened Daddy wouldn’t be allowed there either. We had made a list of things we’d like to
have if we did have a c-section and all those things were out the window when
he discovered I was in full blown labor and we had no time to spare.
Daddy gave me a kiss as they rolled me through the doors and
he waited and got dressed for surgery.
They got me onto the surgery table and as I sat up for the spinal my
water broke and I had a really hard pushing contraction. There was meconium in the water and they were
now having to rush all over and not slip in the huge puddle on the floor. I’m sure they thought I was crazy, but I was
blowing like mad and yelling at myself to not push. As soon as it passed I was taking long
breathes for you and Dr. Habibi was
working quickly to get the spinal in. I
had one more big contraction and was trying so hard to hold still for him to
work, blow off all the pushing urges and was yelling that I was pushing and not
to push. It was a crazy couple of
minutes and I just wanted them to get Daddy in there and you out so that I knew
you were okay.
Before that contraction was even totally over I was down on
the table and they were putting IVs in, blood pressure cuff on and bringing in
Daddy and the woman who needed to draw labs.
She was a bit concerned because she didn’t know where to get a vein
since they had so many things on me already and asked if she should come back
later. They got her to the side so that
she could get a draw and they were opening me by the time she left. Your actual birth was something that we
didn’t see, although I swear I heard the tiniest noise from you as they brought
you out at 11:12 pm. They didn’t lower
the drape as we had hoped because you were not in good shape once they saw
you. Dr. Wasserman had told me that he
would bring you to me before you went to get checked out and he did, although
very, very quickly. As you were coming
out he told me that he was going to brush my hand with you and he literally did
just that. I didn’t see your face, but
got a glimpse of your trunk and legs, enough to think that I maybe saw
something. As you were over being
attended to I kept saying “Did I see something?
Is it a boy?” Finally someone
answered that it was a boy and we announced that you were Evan Otto
Schneider. I wanted Daddy to go to you
as had been planned, but they told him to stay by me. I couldn’t see you at all, but knew that they
must be working on you because you were not making any noise and they didn’t
let Daddy come over.
It turned out that they had to deep suction your lungs (they
got out about 3 ccs of bloody mucous) and then intubate you. They bagged you for 5 minutes and once they
removed the tube you let us know that you were NOT happy with how things had
been going. Those angry cries were one
of the best sounds I’ve ever heard!
During the entire time they were helping you I kept saying your name and
trying to let you know that we were there.
I kept telling Daddy to talk to you too and he did, but he was also able
to see what was happening and didn’t want to let me know all that he was
seeing. We both knew that it would work
out okay, it just had to! And we knew
that you were in very capable hands.
Daddy says that he had a lot of confidence that you were okay because
you were moving and fighting as they were helping you breathe. He did hear them
say something about transport and that worried him, but then he realized you
were just going upstairs, not to another hospital. What a change to go from a perfectly normal,
healthy pregnancy to an emergency delivery and a baby that wasn’t breathing in
such a short time.
After you were wrapped up and ready to head up the NICU they
brought you over to me. You were
perfect! No tubes or anything, just a
little burrito baby held in the arms of a wonderful nurse named Nancy. She took you and Daddy and you all headed
out. I have no doubt that we were where
we needed to be and you had the team around you that was necessary, but I will
always miss that you and I didn’t get those first precious moments together,
sweet Evan.
Things we learned later…the surgery suite we used was one
that was no longer in use because of the huge remodel of the hospital. It probably was cause for some of the crazed
running around, but also meant that we had one that was open, was only steps
from my triage room and didn’t mean a trip on the elevators to a different
floor. Every minute mattered. Dr. Habibi was the best in the hospital (top
10% in the country according to Dr. Wasserman) and any other anesthesiologist
would have put me under. He took a lot
of pride that he was able to keep me awake and still be so fast. Dr. Wasserman told me he had to use ‘unusual
maneuvers’ to get you out and Kim told us that you required a lot of pulling
and force to come out. I did my best to
not push you out, but obviously my body was fighting me on that. The stress of those contractions added to
your distress and lack of oxygen and if we had not been where we were you
probably would have not made it. Your
cord pH was 7.19 which is headed into dangerous territory. Your apgar scores were 5 and 8. When the surgeons heard those numbers the
comment I overheard is that they expected the first set to be about a 2…you
were much stronger than they expected! The
what ifs of the night scare me so much and I am so grateful that things turned
out as they did and that you had such an amazing team there for you. The prayers from around the country were
heard and answered and for that we are so thankful!

Part 2
That weekend was really rough emotionally because I felt
such a let down. I wanted to meet you,
was anxious to be done with labor and just couldn’t believe that everything
faded away. On Monday we saw Debby and I
walked in and started crying…I hadn’t been very fun for Daddy to live with that
weekend either. She checked me right
away so we could see where things were at.
I was 2 cm dilated and she worked on stripping my membranes to see if
that would help things move along, which stretched me to a 3. The only thing that made me hesitate at all
was that Grandma Fuerniss was coming on Wednesday and I knew she’d be so
disappointed to miss your birth by only a day.
We just decided to go with it and see what would happen. That afternoon and evening I had lots of
discomfort and contractions, but in the night they faded away and nothing
happened.
On Wednesday Daddy picked up Grandma and after she was
settled with Garrett and Kelby we headed to Debby’s to have her strip my
membranes again. We were pretty relaxed
and did a quick stop at Target to buy hand sanitizer for after you were
born. She was relieved to see me
laughing and we were all hopeful that we’d be having a baby very soon if things
worked out like they did with Kelby. As
she examined me her whole demeanor changed and you were moving really low into
my cervix with sharp jabs. I made a
comment about a little hand grabbing her and she said that a hand would be
fine. That is when she told us that she
felt like she was feeling a foot and your bottom and that we needed to get an
ultrasound to confirm if you had turned breech.
Talk about a shock to our systems!
We knew if you were breech we’d be looking at a possible c-section if
you wouldn’t turn back around and that time was of the essence since you could
be ready to come at any time.
We were sent home with orders to keep me really calm, drink
some wine, lay on the couch and not do anything to stimulate labor. I was so grateful that contractions calmed
down that night and I was able to sleep.
As the morning came the contractions were still very mild and almost
non-existent. Every time I’d have one
I’d just pray for God to take it away and was so grateful when He did! We had breakfast, spent the morning with
Garrett, Kelby and Grandma and headed out to have an ultrasound
mid-morning.
Debby met us at the hospital and it turned out we were in
the wrong area. After getting where we
needed to be we were taken in for the test right on time at 12:30. Stephanie was a student so we were told that
another tech would join us at some point.
When things got started she saw what she thought (and we all did too)
was a hand down towards my cervix. I
started crying like crazy because we were pretty sure that you were head down
if it was a hand. I even told her she
could be your fairy God princess!
Unfortunately as she kept going it became clear that you were not head
down. There was confusion as to exactly
what position you were in…like an arched cat with head on one side and bottom
on the other, spine up…like an upside down cat with spine on the bottom…total
breech. It was getting harder to figure
out your position. She got another tech
in and she was able to get a few better readings on your position, but as she
did you changed once again. You started
as a single footling breech and ended the ultrasound in the transverse
position. You are a mobile little guy,
even as you were measuring big! We saw
that you had some hair and got a few pictures of you, but basically we knew we
had to get things figured out quickly as you were not in an optimal position.
Debby, Daddy and I talked before we headed out. We decided we wanted to do a version and
needed it done ASAP. Debby texted Dr.
Wasserman who was in surgery all day and he said he’d let us know when he could
do one the next day. We talked about
other options like just scheduling surgery, doing the version and inducing,
doing the version and trying for a birth center birth and also the importance
of keeping things very quiet until we knew what was going to happen. She also suggested
taking Pulsitilla to help with unstable position so Daddy and I headed to Beans
and Barley and then Outpost to get some.
When we got home we told Grandma what was happening and I
laid down on the couch again. We got the
call that the version was scheduled for noon the next day and I just prayed we
could hang on until then. As the evening
went on I was bothered by more and more contractions so I had some more
wine. After not drinking for so long I
felt like a lush the last two days of pregnancy, even just having a couple of
ounces! After we ate dinner (really good
lasagna out of the freezer) we put Garrett and Kelby to bed. I gave them special big hugs and kisses and
told them there was a chance that Mommy and Daddy could be gone to have the baby
when they woke up. I was bothered enough
by the contractions that we called Debby and she told us to start timing
them. They weren’t coming that often
(roughly 10 minutes apart) and most of them were only 30-45 seconds. I’d have longer ones when I got up to use the
bathroom, but Debby wasn’t concerned about those since they were caused by
movement. During the hour and half that
we timed and kept checking in she talked to Dr. Wasserman and he told her that
if I came in to call as he would join us at the hospital. We were glad to hear that since he had yet to
meet us and was not on call that night.
After having two contractions that were further apart (about
15 minutes) but stronger and wrapped more around my lower back I was just not
comfortable staying home. I didn’t feel
like this was it, but I didn’t want things to start moving along and for us to
be on the road having you or for things to get really emergent since you were
not in a good position. I told Daddy to
get my shoes and we called Debby to tell her we were heading in. I specifically asked her if there was a
reason to not go in and she said I should trust my feelings and she was heading
in to be with us. Fairly quickly we were
on the road and I was laying in the back of the van as we headed to St.
Mary’s. I had two contractions on the
way and one right as we got there, but none were terrible and I just kept
hoping things would stay calm. I called
Coral on the way and she decided to come over as she thought she’d beat Debby
there. After not sleeping for over 24
hours we were surprised and grateful that she was willing to come over! We had to go in the Emergency Room entrance
as we got there just before 10 pm and I waited in a wheel chair as Daddy parked
the van. The guys were giving me a hard
time that he had bailed on me because he took so long to get back to where we
were waiting. Gratefully, he came in the
doors with our bag over his shoulder!
And Debby came in shortly behind him with Coral finding us once we were
in our triage room.

Yes, it has been a year! And now Baby is 1
In honor our our littlest turning one I thought I'd break my year of silence and start posting his birth story. It is totally fitting to do this over Thanksgiving because I am most thankful that things turned out so well. He is a happy, healthy, walking, but not sleeping one year old!
My sweet boy what a wild ride you’ve given us! Your birth story is one that will take a long
time to fully absorb and it is not the story we would have wanted for you, but
it is the one that is yours and we are so grateful that things happened as they
did.
Our pregnancy was fairly uneventful other than a few
physical things that bothered me. I had
to deal with carpel tunnel that got pretty bad as the pregnancy went on and
there was an issue around week 35 when I suddenly could barley walk because of
pelvic and hip pain. But we dealt with
these things and I started seeing a chiropractor and overall we just kept
soldiering on towards meeting our newest family member. You were due on November 8th, but
for some reason I really felt that you would be joining us in October. There was no reason to believe that since
Garrett was born the day before his due date and Kelby went 9 days past
hers. I think I wanted you to have your
own birth month like everyone else in the family did and I didn’t want you to
have to share it with me, our anniversary and Thanksgiving too. When Halloween came and went we knew our
little one had plans of their own and I resigned myself to the fact that you
probably would cook well beyond your due date just like your sister!
As we crept through November I became more and more anxious
to meet you. We were having to make
decisions about band jobs since Daddy didn’t want to get too far away in case
anything happened. He ended up giving up
3 jobs once we were past your due date because we just knew it could be any
time. And since things moved quickly
with your sister Deb and Coral both wanted us to be prepared for a very quick
labor and to be on our toes if contractions really got started. Just after your due date (40 weeks, 2 day) we
had an evening where I felt like the contractions were more rhythmic and like
maybe something was brewing. I always
hesitate to make the call, but we finally decided to call Debby since she had
made it clear that we should contact her at the first sign of anything. I struggle to know exactly when things change
from just the typical Braxton Hicks contractions that I have for months to
something that might be more ‘real’ and mean baby is working on joining us.
After we chatted she asked me to start timing things and
just let her know if anything changed.
She also said we should put the kids to bed (just a bit early) and to
get the van packed in case we needed to grab sleeping kids in the middle of the
night. As we got everything packed and
ready to go the contractions got closer and were about every 15 minutes apart
so she instructed me to head to bed and just rest in case I had a night of
labor ahead of me. We called Coral who
was teaching a class and she was ready to head the birth center and spend the
night in case we were headed in later.
However after an hour or so of resting the contractions all faded away
and we ended up calling everyone and telling them to just go home and go to
sleep. You were parked for a while
longer.

Baby is here!
I am thankful to say that our baby has arrived. HE was born on Thursday, November 17th at 11:12 pm. At 9 pounds, 4 ounces and 21.5 inches long it is hard to imagine how he had the room to flip breech at 41 weeks, 1 day, but somehow he did. At 41 weeks, 2 days we had an ultrasound to confirm breech and while it was being done he went from breech to transverse. We had an external version scheduled for the next day, but that night I couldn't get the contractions to go away (I'd been having them for over a week) and decided to go the hospital just to avoid having things move really fast (as they did with Peanut) and potentially putting him in danger because of his position.
When we got the hospital with our midwife and doula I did not appear to be in active labor and they monitored him and did another ultrasound that showed footling breech. The wonderful OB who was going to do the version had also come in (never had met us and wasn't on call that night) and decided that we could either do a version right there and then either induce or go home or if it failed then do a surgical delivery. As we discussed options we decided to check me as I'd had one contraction that really bothered me (and a few other small ones) and if I was in active labor we'd need to do a c-section right away. His mouth fell open as he discovered I was 9+ dilated. Needless to say everything moved fast and I just wanted it to move even faster as I knew he was in great danger. I learned very quickly how to blow through a contraction and not push as if my child's life depended on it, because it did. We had an amazing team and in the end our son was born with Mike and I both being present and awake for the birth.
Our sweet boy did not breath for himself and they bagged him for 5 minutes, but after that he bounced back quickly. He was in the NICU for about 40 (LONG, AGONIZING) hours and not quite to 3 days old he is home in my arms. I will have a most amazing Thanksgiving this year! From walking into triage at the hospital to his birth was just over an hour...and in that time we had monitoring and an ultrasound. When I say they moved quickly it doesn't even being to describe it. We even used an surgical suite that is no longer in use because it was closer and open...every single minute mattered in this situation and they treated it as such.
I'll be posting his birth story after it is written, but needless to say my three kids have given me three totally different ways of experiencing birth. I've had a completely natural, peaceful waterbirth, a vaginal hospital birth that was managed and involved pitocin, an epidural and episiotomy and a true emergency c-section. I am so grateful that all have worked out and cannot wait to write this latest birth story!
Thank you for your prayers!

Waiting...
and waiting and waiting. At least that is how it feels.
Baby #3 didn't want to share a birthday with two of our friend's babies who were both born on November 8th. Coincidentally, that was our due date. We are so excited for both families who have healthy babies after long waits...one has been waiting for over a year to adopt, got the call on Friday, baby was born on Tuesday and they were headed home with her on Wednesday! Talk about a whirlwind journey into parenthood after a seemingly endless wait. The second has been on bed rest for 8 weeks and held out to delivery a big 8 pound boy at 36 1/2 weeks. We are so relieved that they were able to make it so far and that Mommy and baby are doing well. Great news that day, but we wanted in to make it a huge triple birthday party! It was too funny to get the calls that day as on Sunday we three Mommies had all talked about the chance that we could have babies on the same day. And then two of them did, within 2 hours of each other!
Then on Friday we had our first ever false alarm. As in had the van packed, had everyone on high alert and then it all faded away... We later realized it was full moon and that if things had gone well we would have had the coolest birthday ever, 11/11/11! But rather than 'having it all' the baby decided to wait for a little longer. We are just doing our best to be patient. I'm trying to rest easy in the knowledge that these contractions are doing a job and making life easier in the long run and that Baby 3 knows best when to join us! And of course, s/he will have her/his OWN birthday now :)
Today is beautiful and tomorrow is going to be warm too. I've said I'd love to have a beautiful day to have this baby, so here's hoping! And in the mean time I'll just keep learning to be patient. And be grateful that our baby is healthy and wiggling and has two big siblings eager to meet him or her!

So Many Moments!
We've returned from a visit to Kentucky! While there it rained and rained and was cold and yucky. Turns out it was the same here in Wisconsin while we were gone. This has sure been a different May then last year when it was beautiful weather all the time!
The kiddos have presented us with some very funny and touching moments recently. I can't help but wonder does it just get more and more amazing as they get older?
Peanut is now 11 months old. Yesterday we were all be quiet after her nap (and watching the Preakness) while Little Guy took a (highly unusual at this point) nap. At one point she must have been oh, so bored with her parents and crawled into the kitchen. We heard her standing at our patio door and banging, petting the dogs and just doing things she normal does in the kitchen. When she crawled back out to us she had brought along her pair of Robeez that I've been putting on her when we play in the backyard or sandbox. I was AMAZED. This is the first time I've ever seen her pay any attention to the shoes, she brought both of them to me while crawling and she made it quite clear she wanted to go outside and figured if I put her shoes on then we were heading out. Pretty clever girl, don't you think?
Little Guy (and Peanut) had photos taken while we were in KY. We are fortunate that Peanut's Godmother is a wonderful photographer and squeezed in an hour photo shoot on her 11th month birthday. While Little Guy was getting his taken he wasn't being too cooperative. So we tried to get him talking about what he had done that day. It had been a big day...he went on his first horse ride, went out to mow grass on the big tractor for the first time, Grandpa let him drive that same tractor, he made pancakes with Grandma, and assorted other fun on two different farms. When we asked him to share what he had done that day guess what he said. He told her he read two books. Yup, all the fun stuff packed into one day that he wanted to do and the thing he felt the need to mention? Books. I'm glad my kids both love books, but we read them every. single. day. and he almost never sees his grandparents and these things were big firsts he had talked about doing for WEEKS. Aren't kids crazy? :)
Other comments Little Guy has made recently (that he may or may not have heard from two adults that live in the same house)...
"This is ridiculous!"
"I've solved the problem!"
"I need a break."
"You need to relax Daddy." (Said part way through the 9 hour trip)
"I pray for Thomas and Percy."--big pause-- "And Salty!" (during night time prayers...these are trains.)
"Nice to meet you Mommy." (while shaking my hand)
"Half and a two" His response to the question of his age...rapidly being replaced by the more typical 'two and a half' or 'three on my next birthday'
And so many more that are hard to remember! Too funny, that cutie pie of mine.
Happy Warm, SUNNY day here in Milwaukee. Thank the Lord!

Security in a Word?
Lately Little Guy has an interesting new development. He seems to use a word as a security 'blanket.' And the word he chose? His little sister's name! Or sometimes the variation is "I do love Peanut." Isn't that an interesting thing to choose?
I noticed one day that he said her name many, many times, but didn't think too much of it. I did mention it to Mike and we laughed about making sure we pick names we like for our kids since sometimes we might hear them a few hundred times! Then we noticed that it continued. And then it morphed into him saying her name or that he loved her when he was doing something he shouldn't be doing (great way to distract us, I guess) or when he was in trouble or just feeling uncomfortable in a situation.
Neither of my children have security toys or blankets. And I've never heard of a security word before, but I would definitely say that my son has one. It is odd and interesting and wonderful watching how these little people develop, isn't it? When he says that he 'does love her' I always let him know that I do too and that I love him. We are not at all concerned about it and are just glad that he is constantly reinforcing in his mind how much he loves his sister. They really do love each other and we tell them both how much we love them all the time. I hope that the lovefest continues their whole life. And we really hope they love their little sibling as much as they love each other!
Fascinating this world of parenting!

Happy Mother's Day
Another holiday wish...
For all the Moms out there, those who hold their babies in their arms, those who have yet to meet their babies, and those who have babies who have left the nest may you have a wonderful day!
Being a Mom is something that I dearly love and yet it challenges me every single day. There is no job on earth that is more demanding, but yet there is no other job that I would rather have. I constantly question if I am doing it right and yet know that there is no absolute perfect way to do it. It is a whirlwind that challenges me in so many ways and I wouldn't change it for the world!
Thank you Little Guy, Peanut and Baby 3 for making me a Momma! I'm honored to be the person that gets to help you navigate this world.
Happy Mother's Day,
Heather
Baby 3 is due in early November. Things are going really well so far and we couldn't be more excited, although also a bit surprised at how quickly things happened. By around our 4th anniversary we'll have had 3 babies...and feel blessed to have been given these gifts!

Happy Easter
Happy Easter to all those who stop by my little corner of the world. I hope you and your family celebrate today with all the joy and wonder it deserves! And I hope that you got some chocolate in your basket too :)
Things in our house are starting to pull themselves together. Overall we are all healthy (FINALLY!) and we are anxious for better weather. On the occasional day that the sun pops out we get outside to enjoy it! We are trying to see a few friends we've neglected through our winter of sickness and just catch up with life in general. Soon Daddy will be on the road and gone every day and the kids and I will be home holding down the fort. We long for summer and we also know that summer will be crazy. An interesting situation due to Mike's business, but one that we embrace because it is what keeps our family housed, clothed, Mommy home and Daddy doing what he loves!
And wonderful man that he is Mike recently fenced in a big kiddie pool for me to use as a large container garden. According to the local charts it is time to plant the spinach and swiss chard and I am excited! It is wonderful to carve out more and more spaces to grow food for our family in our tiny yard. It takes creativity and a willingness to look past the 'not perfect,' but we are getting there. Sometime I'll share why we aren't doing more permanent things to make our yard one huge garden. We've got a plan and I am excited for where it will take us!
And back to a funny Easter note---at church Little Guy was asked if the Easter Bunny had stopped by our house last night. It turns out he did so she wanted to know what was in Little Guy's basket. When he clammed up she started prompting him, "Was there anything to special to eat in it?" I answered quickly that there wasn't. (We are taking advantage of the fact that he has no idea that there 'should' be candy in a basket yet. Eventually we'll introduce a chocolate bunny and some other treats, but for now he really doesn't need the sugar and we are pretty sure that he'll be getting more than enough at his grandparent's house later today.) A mother with a child somewhat younger than our 2 1/2 year old looked at me in horror. "There WASN'T???" I just kind of smiled and encouraged Little Guy to tell them both what he got. He filled them in, eventually letting them know he got a puzzle, a Thomas train t-shirt, two books, a bath toy and a huge Magic Doodle. Really, it was a very full, very fun basket that he loved. He doesn't miss anything that wasn't in there and I don't have to deal with melt downs because all he can focus on is the candy. How funny that we just expect that a two year old should have a basket full of sugar...and really sad, if you think about it.
Easter blessings from our home to yours!

He doesn't miss anything that wasn't in there and I don't have to deal with melt downs because all he can focus on is the candy. How funny that we just expect that a two year old should have a basket full of sugar...and really sad, if you think about it.
Easter blessings from our home to yours!

Want to Laugh?
Tell God (or your blog) your plans!
So why haven't I been around in a while again? Well, Peanut was sick. Then she seemed to be getting better, but nights were rough again. Then we were getting ready for a few events, one being a get together of our Bradley class from when Little Guy was born. One family had to back out at the last minute due to a sick 2 year old and 9 month old. But the other 6 two year olds and 4 other little siblings plus parents were able to make it. It was crowded in our little house, but it is so great to see these kiddos grow up and hear other parent struggles and successes. We had so much fun!
Until about 24 hours later when our Peanut was sick AGAIN. I'm so hoping no one else came down with anything since this has been one heck of a week. Called after hours and got our Ped...wonderful! She was vomiting and 103 degree temp so he gave us some advice and said he'd probably see us in the morning. Grateful things seemed under control and we didn't go in. But on Tuesday we added Little Guy to the mix. Fever, coughing, a couple of clean up in aisle 3 episodes. We just kept on top of fluids, rest, treating fever in Peanut when it got really high and doing our best to keep our patience in tact with two sick kids. Little Guy has never really been sick like this so it has been a learning experience to find out that he gets VERY whiny and emotional and frustrated and demanding. Couple that with lack of sleep and things have been interesting.
So Friday things were just really bad. Peanut was really fussy (not normal at all for her) and I called the nurse. After hearing where we were at after fighting this all week she suggested we come in. And based on how they kept acting we were glad we made that decision. Turns out Little Guy had really, really bad ear infections that were making his eyes water and mat up as well as contribute the river of snot and probably contributed to his vomiting. Peanut is still just in virus stage, her ears and eyes are okay. We are praying that it doesn't change! Little Guy is on antibiotics (normally I'm not a fan, but he has been sooooo miserable that I really hope it makes the difference) and Peanut is just nursing a ton and trying to work through it.
Fun stuff, huh? And a big lesson for this mom. I've had such healthy babies and two winters with nothing significant. I cannot imagine the stress that having a very sick child generates. I've been a wreck more than once because of this goofy virus. And hopefully next year will be better. I've had two nurses and our Ped tell us that this year is crazy bad. And based on how nuts the waiting room was on Friday I have no doubt that is the case! Oh, and to add to the fun Mommy is now having significant symptoms and Daddy thinks he is right behind her. I guess five days of being coughed on, sneezed on and just handling baby virus was just too much for my immune system too.
Just wanted to also let anyone reading this know that there is a great giveaway going on at Maple Valley Farm's blog. This family is pretty fascinating. They left behind a house (that looks like a mansion) to buy a farm that is totally off-grid. And yet they blog! Isn't technology something else? And now they are giving away some Tattler canning lids. I got some for Christmas from my mom and my mother-in-law...it was a big item on my Christmas list. I'm hoping to build up enough that I'll do away with disposable lids altogether, other than for gift purposes. I love things that can be reused! Check out the giveaway here.
Take care and hope everyone out there is healthy!

Happy (Belated) St. Valentine's Day

We had a nice Valentine's Day here at home this year. Oh wait, that is what we do every year! I started the morning by making my boys pink heart pancakes. Isn't that what every man and his son want for breakfast? Actually, Little Guy asks for pancakes, waffles and couscous for breakfast every single day. Having me home full time has gotten him out of his oatmeal for breakfast routine a bit more!
So back to the day...we had pancakes that I dyed using a little beet juice. I'm trying to get myself away from artificial coloring more and more and thought I'd give it a whirl. It turned out really pretty, but the pancakes got very golden so they no longer looked pink when baked. The taste was great though! For lunch we had leftovers so nothing special there, but our dinner is a tradition! We had homemade garlic bread, seriously kicked up mac and cheese, roasted broccoli spears, A&W in frosted mugs, and hot fudge cake for dessert. It was a great meal and a nice day all in all.

I topped off the Valentine's Day food the next morning by making eggs in a hole heart style. They turned out really cute and were appreciated most by Mike. I didn't realize that he loves those so much and need to make an effort to make them more often!
Here's hoping you had a wonderful Valentine's Day surrounded by those you love!

What an exciting time to live in Wisconsin! The entire state is having a blast celebrating the Packer's big victory and we couldn't be happier. We were invited to a friend's house to watch the Superbowl, but since Peanut wasn't feeling the best and Little Guy is just on the mend we decided not to chance being out late and around new germs.
Turns out it was a good decision. Peanut got sick during half time. Really sick, scared Mommy sick. She had been warm and obviously not feeling good all day, but nothing too bad and pretty much just par for the course with this yucky cold thing. Then she was really, really warm and just not acting or looking right. Took her temp it was 102.5. Not good news. We called the after hours number at our pediatrician's office and when the doctor called back he wasn't overly worried. He just wanted us to bathe her, give her Tylenol and watch her. If it got above 104 go to Children's ER. And he had to go, he was watching the Superbowl, click. Seriously? I was basically hung up on by the doctor because of the game.
In the end her temp came down to about 100 after a scary period where she got kind of listless and I spent most of the night up with her nursing and comforting and checking temps and such. Yesterday the nurse at the office was much more thorough and comforting, but we may have a while to go with this. And if other symptoms get worse we may still be going in. But she reassured me a ton after she heard that we've never dealt with much sickness other than some diaper rash issues with Little Guy. We've been really lucky.
I'm up early with her this morning and she is doing pretty well temperature wise. She's got a cough that isn't fun, but I'm more hopeful that this will pass without major complications. Here's hoping my response system can quiet down now too. I've been a bit strung out on worry and lack of sleep the last few days!
Woohoo Packers!

I'm Hungry
My little toddler is growing up! For the first time he came into the kitchen and said "Mommy, I'm hungry." I realize that is a pretty simple sentiment, although lately it seems to be one that expresses a feeling he has all. the. time. I can only imagine how much he'll want to eat when he is a teenager!
But why the excitement about the sentence? He really has only started using me and I in the last couple of weeks. He has used his name for a long time now, but everything was referred to as "Little Guy hungry" or "Little Guy trains." Then recently the word I showed up. And then it was "I hungry." But the other evening, totally unprompted he came over and said "I'm hungry."
Recently he has started pointing at himself and saying (in a very excited and exuberant voice) "ME!" which he follows up with his whole name. Of course, he often then points and me and says "ME" followed up by "Mommy, Heather." Yes, we've been working on 'whole names' so he knows his and his sister's which led also trying to work on Mommy and Daddy's as well. There is nothing cuter than a 2 year old saying his first, middle and last name and then his sister's as well. Now, how to teach him that I am not 'me'. At least not to him, only to me. It gets a bit confusing to explain!
I find it so interesting to watch how his language develops. First it was signing, then words and signs, then just words. Recently signs have shown up again as we prepare to start showing Peanut them as well. And when he gets really mad or really wants something he'll totally bust out the 'more' sign! And he has never totally lost the please and thank you signs either.
After words came a few words together, then more complex thoughts in simple sentences. He figured out possession really quickly thereafter. I think "Grandma purse" was the first one and from then on every item had the owner's name attached! Now is the I and me time and putting together really coherent sentences. I find it adorable to watch him say something and then go back and say it again, but more grammatically correct. Language is an amazing thing to watch develop!
Of course, he is still often difficult to understand. He uses 'no' an awful lot of times when I would rather he didn't. He was rather late to that party though, which I am very grateful for! And he still doesn't say "MINE" when his sister grabs his trains. Unfortunately I have no doubt that it is coming. He has a long way to go before he is a great orator, but watching him get there is so fascinating!
Happy Speaking!

New Post?!?!
Does that button even work anymore? Hi there blog, I'm Heather. It is nice to see you here in a whole new year! We've had a great Halloween, Thanksgiving, birthday, Christmas, New Years. Thank goodness I'm stopping back by before it is Valentine's Day!
Okay, really I do plan to start blogging more again. I know I've said that before, but as long as Peanut starts sleeping better again it will be true! We moved her out of the co-sleeper into the crib and it seems to be helping. Instead of being right next to me she is now just outside our bedroom, maybe 10 feet away. The change is good because she was waking up with every movement I made and I was waking up with ever movement she made. It meant we were both awake a lot and if she was awake she wanted to nurse. Or sometimes she didn't really want to nurse, she wanted to sleep, but because she was awake and so was I she'd try and nurse. Then she'd get upset and be awake longer and then I'd be a cranky, tired mom. This has not been fun. Especially since she was a terrific sleeper from such an early age. I'm excited that we are back on track!
We are off to toddler story time at the big library today. We went there a few weeks ago when my mom was in town and Little Guy enjoyed it. We were at the preschool story time and only stayed for one story. I figured he did well and we wanted to excuse ourselves before things turned south! He did get to play with the train table, lego table, climb the light house and just have a blast in the library. Central library has the best children's wing I have ever seen. We love our neighborhood library a whole lot, but it is a fun treat to visit central!
I am looking forward to posting about how our year of grocery change has wrapped up. The budget was much bigger as expected, but still okay. I also want to update my canning inventory for last summer and how it is holding up. I am hoping to record some of my favorite recipes and even start posting pictures again! And (of course) there will be kids stuff because it is what happens around here on a daily basis. Will there be an opportunity to start scrapbooking again? It is amazing what a few more hours of sleep (all in a row) can do to a girl!

Recent Happenings
Wow, time flies, doesn't it? Here are a few random thoughts to start the day...
We eat a lot of 'dirt' in this house. Little Guy just doesn't want to say the 's' sound much so our after dinner treat is now destined to be known as dirt! And he loves dirt an awful lot, especially if it involves cupcakes, cake, birthday cake...the boy knows cake.
Peanut is rolling over! She has been thisclose seemingly forever, but finally decided to celebrate 4 months by rolling from tummy to back. Then two days later figured she'd give back to tummy a whirl as well. She is so strong when she wants to be and had been teetering on her side for a long while. Now she decided to do it and she is an old pro. Of course (in both cases) she flipped while I was either stepped out of the room or was sitting right by her, but engaged with her brother. So there was no actual witnessing of either of the firsts. She is such an accommodating baby that after being turned she immediately did it again! Now if only the teeth that have been causing teething symptoms for 2 months would actually appear.
And speaking of teeth... On a recent trip to visit my parents in Kentucky Little Guy decided to give us our first after hours call to the pediatrician. We were all up on the loft playing with some of my old toys. (Did you know that in the mid 70s Fisher Price made their toys in the USA? Fun fact for the morning!) There are 3 steps leading up to the bedrooms on each side and I was sitting on them nursing Peanut. Little Guy climbed up the steps to grab the cash register and was walking down right next to me. Mike was right in front of him at the bottom of the stairs. We were both within arms reach, but yet he took a tumble down 2 steps. No big deal, right? This kid tumbles all the time...
Yeah, the toy hit his mouth as he fell and bent his tooth completely forward! How in the world? There were tears, there was blood, there was waking up my poor mom before she headed to her job at the hospital and then a call to the ER. Unfortunately, the nurse who answered was not one who knew her so we got the 'we don't give out medical advice' talk after 10 minutes on hold. We called the after hours number and talked to the newest doctor in our pediatrician's office and were told to pull it if it was dangling by a thread or to leave it alone if it wasn't. We kept the ice on for a while, but really by the time we heard from the Dr. Little Guy was playing again and didn't seem overly bothered. He went to bed, slept through the night and other than a few "tooth hurt" comments on a few mornings he has been fine.
The tooth isn't in the exact same position, but it seems to be firming up. We've been praying for it like crazy, because if it discolors it may have to come out. I can't imagine having 5-7 years of a gap toothed boy! Of course, in the scheme of things it is no big deal and we are grateful that he wasn't hurt more and that we didn't have any kind of ER visit the last night of our trip five minutes before bed time!
Have a great Tuesday! We are windy like crazy today,
Heather
