I seem to be the December customer for Ibelings, so the pig goes in and I pick up in December, but it is basically the pork we eat all of the next year. We ate the last ham from last year's pig for Christmas, and I've had to supplement extra ground pork and brats, but we can basically plan on eating one pig a year as a family right now.
This pig was from Ibelings. We paid $150.
It went to Sorg's, which is great, but there was no notification, so we ended up calling weeks later and they wanted to charge us a fee for late pick up. They did waive it, but it wasn't pretty. We paid $320.80 to Sorg's.
We were packing for Sarah's and other craziness so I didn't weigh the pig. We know we picked up 280 pounds, but that likely includes all the fat to render, as well as a few parts for dissection. The pig was over 400 pounds live, as that was marked on our processing invoice. I also got charged for 2 extra boxes ($6).
